Marissa was excellent when she came into The Institute of Beauty and Wellness in Milwaukee. There, she put on a two hour hands on demonstration class for students in the Cosmetology program. As an Alumni, she was able to share her experience with current students and help them see the path to success for their own journey.

The content she taught was focused around elevated hair styling. She was able to connect with students of all experience levels, and the content was thorough and engaging.

I would absolutely have Marissa come back to reconnect with students in the future.

It truly is always amazing to work with Andrea. We have been connected and friends since we met while both of us were working for @mkefashionweek back in 2016.

She is an amazing Mom of two gorgeous kids and is one of the most driven and ambitious individuals I have ever met.

We did airbrush foundation with a makeup look that was a little bit more on the glam side. It was a look that could easily transition into the night.

Soft look with champagne and delicate brown accents 🌹

This was her second trial. The first one we did a more "done up" look that still incorporated the same palette of eyeshadow colors. We also initially when more matte with the foundation.

For this look, we went less matte. More of a neutral between matte and glowie. Then, I toned down the contour for the eyeshadow and didn't put any eyeshadow under her eyes. For the contour for the foundation, I softened and lessened it.

Another element that can really change the look, are the lashes. We did a heavier set for her first trial and a much lighter pair for this trial. They're so light weight and easy to wear!

The end result is feeling fresh and elegantly done up.

Soft natural makeup with the slightest hint of glam to make the look feel slightly more done up.

This is great if you don't typically wear make, but want to feel like you have more on than what you'd typically do for yourself.

For the lip color at the end, my camera always makes my clients' lips look more pink than what they are. Does anyone have tips for how to fix that? I have a Samsung Galaxy phone.

My love for styling started when I was 17 years old. I was the softball team hair braider and was styling all of my friends' hair for dances.

With the influence of my receptionist job at a JCPenney salon, I felt driven to go to school for cosmetology in 2014.

In 2016, I started freelancing hair and makeup for fashion shows and photoshoots. Not long after, I started taking on weddings as well.

Throughout this career, there have been so many amazing artists that I've worked with. However, I would notice from time to time something that seemed to be missing from their craft that could greatly improve the outcome of their hairstyles.

That's when I felt motivated to host my first Updo 101 Class that was lecture style. With the great reviews that were received from it, I created the Updo Mastery Workshop to build off of it. It was so heart warming to hear how many stylist benefited from both the class and workshop. Plus, a new gained confidence in their work.
